Let me introduce myself. I am a self taught beader, inheriting my artistic flair from my father, Frederic Lonie, who was a Master Engraver at Edinburgh Crystal in Penicuik for over 40 years. I have always been interested in craftwork of all kinds. When I began designing and making my own jewellery, primarily in silver and then beading, that was it - I was hooked, and my passion for creating lovely things lead to Jewellery by Laura McAllister being “born”. My jewellery style is quite diverse as I continually search for new materials to use in my designs, which are always evolving; also, because I work from home this allows me to keep my prices very competitive.
